HEN Structure
Written by Lisa Seiler
Friday, 06 April 2007

Effective March 31, 2007, the Ontario Trillium grant for the Halton Environmental Network (HEN) came to an end. At that point, the HEN terminated its employee arrangement with the Oakville Community Centre for Peace, Ecology and Human Rights and became an all-volunteer organization.

The HEN, at its AGM in early March, established a new Steering Committee which is discussing directions, activities, and structure of the HEN, and will be bringing recommendations back to the membership at a general meeting in May or June. Our first activities are staffing the HEN booth at the Eco Festival, setting up a new format for email communications, and taking over the HEN website.

HEN member groups and volunteers owe a vote of appreciation to brothers Stephen and Paul Dankowich for their efforts over the years to put us on the map in Halton!
